A free update* to the Mario Kart™ 8 Deluxe game is available now.

This update features several enhancements to the game when playing on the Nintendo Switch 2 system.


Eight players on one system

With one Nintendo Switch 2 system, and enough controllers, you can now race in split-screen with up to eight people**. It's great for when you've got a big group together and want to play some Mario Kart.


CameraPlay support

You can now connect a compatible USB camera (sold separately) to the Nintendo Switch 2 system and enjoy CameraPlay*** in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. That means, when you've got everyone gathered around to play, you'll be able to see their faces in the game on screen. Seeing the look on your friends' faces as you pass them by can definitely add to the racing experience. You can also enjoy CameraPlay with your friends online via GameChat****.

Enhanced visuals, shorter load times
