Important
An active, paid Nintendo Switch Online membership is required to redeem a Nintendo Switch Game Voucher. Users with a free trial or expired membership will not be able to purchase or redeem vouchers.
Additional Information
A Nintendo Switch Game Voucher can be used to redeem a single game from a select list of titles.
Nintendo Switch Game Vouchers expire one year from the date of purchase.
The voucher that is closest to expiring will automatically be used first.
You can redeem a voucher on Nintendo eShop or off-device via the official Nintendo website.
Please note that Nintendo Switch Game Vouchers cannot be redeemed for Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive games.

Where do you want to redeem a voucher?
There are two ways to redeem Nintendo Switch Game Vouchers in Nintendo eShop: on the product information page for a specific game or by browsing the list of eligible titles.
How do you want to redeem the voucher?
Launch Nintendo eShop from the HOME Menu using a Nintendo Account that was used to purchase a set of vouchers and has an active, paid Nintendo Switch Online membership.
Vouchers can only be redeemed by the same Nintendo Account that was used to purchase them.
Locate the game that you want to purchase and select it to reach the product information page. If it is an eligible game, you will be able to redeem a voucher to download it.
How to check eligible titles in Nintendo eShop
Launch Nintendo eShop from the HOME Menu.
Select Nintendo Switch Online in the left-hand menu.
Scroll down and select Nintendo Switch Game Vouchers.
To view the list of current and future eligible games:
On Nintendo Switch 2, scroll down to the "Software Available via Voucher" section and select View List.
On Nintendo Switch, scroll down and select View List of Software Available via Voucher.

Launch Nintendo eShop from the HOME Menu using a Nintendo Account that was used to purchase a set of vouchers and has an active, paid Nintendo Switch Online membership.

Select your user icon in the top-right corner.
Select Nintendo Switch Online from the left-hand menu.
Scroll down to the Nintendo Switch Game Vouchers section and select Use above the list of available Nintendo Switch Game Vouchers.
The voucher that is closest to expiring will automatically be used first.
Select the game you wish to purchase from the list of eligible games.
Select Proceed or Proceed to Pre-Order to purchase the game.
Please note that if the game is one that is available for pre-order, the voucher will not actually be redeemed until pre-order payments are collected, no sooner than seven days prior to the game’s release date. Select the game title in the search results to display additional information about the game.
Select Buy on Nintendo eShop or Pre-order on Nintendo eShop on the right.
Enter your Nintendo Account password when prompted.
Select Redeem Voucher to confirm the redemption.
You may be prompted to select a console. Choose which of your consoles you would like the game to be downloaded to.
If the game has been released, it will automatically be downloaded to the console you've selected. Once the download is complete, select the game’s icon on the HOME Menu to begin playing.
Keep in mind that if the game is one that is available for pre-order, the voucher will not actually be redeemed until pre-order payments are collected, no sooner than seven days prior to the game’s release date. Scroll down and select Nintendo Switch Online.
Scroll down if necessary and select Redeem a Voucher for Software.
Browse the list of eligible games for the game you want to redeem a voucher for.
Select the game title in the list to display additional information about the game.
Select Redeem Voucher.

Select Redeem Voucher or Confirm Pre-Order to confirm the redemption.
You may be prompted to select a console. Choose which of your consoles you would like the game to be downloaded to.
