Forgot Parental Controls PIN - Nintendo 3DS Family, Wii U, Wii and Nintendo DSi Systems

Please note: If you own a Nintendo 3DS Family System, you will need to contact us if you have forgotten the PIN.
Select the System Settings icon on the HOME Menu and tap Open.
Check that the console's date and time settings are correct. If the date and time are not accurate, you will need to correct the date and time before proceeding. Details how to do so can be found below.
Tap Other Settings
Tap Date & Time
Tap Today's Date
Tap the Up/Down Arrows to set the correct Month/Day/Year.
Select OK to confirm.
If your date is set correctly, in System Settings tap Parental Controls.
Tap Forgot PIN.
Answer your secret question or tap I Forgot.
If you know the answer to your secret question, enter it to unlock parental controls. The system will go to the change parental controls screen, and you will be able to change your PIN.
Be sure to enter the secret question exactly as you originally typed it, as the answer is case sensitive.
If you don't know the answer to your secret question, tap I Forgot.
If prompted to send an e-mail, select Cancel.
An enquiry number will be displayed on the screen. Look at the top of the upper screen to see the date your system is set to, and make sure it is today's date.
If the date is incorrect, it will need to be changed for you to complete the PIN reset process. You will not be able to reset the PIN until the date is correct.
Make a note of the enquiry number displayed on your system. You will need it to reset your PIN.

Select the Wii Options icon in the lower-left corner of the Wii Channel Menu.
Select Wii Settings.
Click on the blue arrow to reach the Wii System Settings 2 menu options.
Select Parental Controls then Yes.

Select the right arrow twice to reach the third page, then select Parental Controls.
Select Yes, to change the parental controls.
You will be prompted for your 4-digit PIN. Tap I forgot.

If you know the answer to your secret question, enter it to unlock parental controls. The system will go to the change parental controls screen and you will be able to change your PIN.
