Out now for the Nintendo Switch 2 system! If you want to take some time out of your busy schedule, the Pokémon Pokopia game is all about savouring the cosy life with your Pokémon friends.
How you rebuild the world is up to you—you can explore, craft, create, and interact with Pokémon going about their day. There’s a lot to do, but the game is all about going at your own pace. What surprises will you find out there?
It’s up to you and Ditto!
Play as a Ditto that has transformed to look like a… human?! As you explore around, you’ll find and befriend your fellow Pokémon, carve out a life for yourself, and work together with Professor Tangrowth to build a town for everyone to live in.
It’s a big task, but some Pokémon will help out in special ways, such as teaching you moves. For example, you can learn Bulbasaur’s Leafage to make wild grass grow. You can also use abilities to transform and navigate the world around you, such as crossing water with Lapras’s Surf.
As you work to help nature flourish, more Pokémon will appear for you to meet and learn from. You might even encounter a Legendary Pokémon!
Shape the world
Creating cosy habitats for Pokémon is one kind of activity, but there’s a lot more you can do! You can gather materials to craft items and furniture, till the fields to grow crops and cook them into delicious meals, rebuild an entire town, show off your interior decorating skills, take photos of fun moments, customise your hairstyle and clothing… and the list goes on.
There’s no need to rush, though—remember to go at your own pace and enjoy the journey. With a real-time day and night cycle, varying in-game weather, and other surprises, you may just want to relax by taking a nap in your bed and letting time pass. Hey, you do you!
A home of your own
As your town develops, your fellow Pokémon may also come to you with requests you can fulfill to solve their problems or make the town a more comfortable place to live in. Eventually, you’ll be able to build a nice big home of your own and invite Pokémon to visit.
Play with your friends
Want to explore and build with your friends? You can also invite up to three other players, via local wireless* or online**, to visit and hang out together—and each of them can bring a Pokémon along.
You can even invite a friend who doesn’t have the game—whether they are on the Nintendo Switch 2 system or Nintendo Switch—by using GameShare***.
More Spores for Hoppip
Hey, Hoppip fans—this one's for you! From 10th March at 7 a.m. until 25th March at 6:59 a.m. AEDT you can take part in an event called ‘More Spores for Hoppip’. Collect cotton spores during the event period to become friends with Hoppip, Skiploom, and Jumpluff!
Please note that this event only occurs in towns where the Pokémon Center has been repaired, and does not occur on Cloud Island.
