The Pokémon Winds and Pokémon Waves games, all-new entries in the Pokémon video game series, will be released exclusively on Nintendo Switch 2 in a simultaneous worldwide release in 2027.

Can you believe it? It’s been 30 years since the original Pokémon Red and Pokémon Green games debuted in Japan! We want to take a moment to give a Wailord-sized thank you to each and every fan out there. We hope you continue to enjoy some amazing adventures with Pokémon pals.

The celebration will continue all year round, but let’s first catch up on the big news from the weekend’s Pokémon Presents. We’ll start with the Pokémon Legends: Z-A – Mega Dimension DLC*, and then run through updates on new and ongoing games.


Pokémon Legends: Z-A – Mega Dimension DLC

Yep, that’s right! Mega Garchomp Z is joining the Mega Dimension DLC for the Pokémon Legends: Z-A game. By claiming a Mystery Gift**, you can encounter Mega Garchomp Z—and if you win in a battle against it, you can get a Garchompite Z stone! Please check the in-game news for all the details.

We hope you enjoyed that video of the upcoming Pokémon Champions game. Remember, this game will also be used for the Pokémon World Championships in 2026—we hope you look forward to it!


Pokémon UNITE

Pokémon Unite Hero

To celebrate Pokémon Day, Zapdos, Moltres, and Articuno will be joining the fray in Pokémon UNITE—you can participate in the event for a chance to unlock their Unite licenses. Also announced, Meganium, Typhlosion, and Feraligatr are scheduled to be added to the game. Oh, and the Electrode Volleyball world tour is coming soon.

Quite an electrifying update, wouldn’t you say?

Pokémon Café ReMix

It’s a partner Pokémon palooza! A roundup of all first partner Pokémon from each region starts from 1st March. Obviously, things are kicking off with individual events for Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle (each with a commemorative in-game brooch). Plus, more chef outfits, additional Pokémon, and café customisation decorations are on the way—check out the game for the exact timing of each event.

The Pokémon Café ReMix game is available to download for free.


Pokémon Pokopia

Coming exclusively to the Nintendo Switch™ 2 system on…whoa, 5th March! That’s like really soon!

In the Pokémon Pokopia game, you will shape the world and build a cosy new life with Pokémon. Check out the video for the latest footage—you’ll catch a glimpse of DJ Rotom, Chef Dente, and local*** and online**** multiplayer for up to four people. Pre-order is now available, so check out the link below.
