Collect DIY Recipes, then gather the materials needed. Craft tools needed for everyday use or outdoor furniture that can improve life for everyone. Decorate the island in all kinds of creative ways, or build bridges, paths, slopes and rivers to fashion the island however you like. It won’t happen overnight, but seeing the results take shape will be oh-so satisfying!

You can’t turn your island into a paradise without others to share it with! Although you’ll only have a few to begin with, more would-be residents will arrive as the island improves. Help them get settled, then lend a hand with tasks, send gifts, arrange photo shoots on the island of Photopia and more, all in the name of friendship!

Better yet, up to eight people registered on one Nintendo Switch can live on the same island, and up to four can enjoy island life simultaneously*. Compatible with amiibo

Tap in any Animal Crossing amiibo figure or amiibo card (including Series 1-5, Welcome amiibo and Sanrio Collaboration Pack, sold separately) and expand your Animal Crossing: New Horizons experience! Set up photo shoots on Harv’s island, or invite selected characters to the Roost or campsite on your island. Who knows, they might even stay!

You can also use Animal Crossing amiibo and amiibo cards to bring characters to the Paradise Planning resort in Animal Crossing: New Horizons – Happy Home Paradise. With over 400 characters available, there are plenty of dream vacation homes just waiting to be created!

You can also tap amiibo figures and cards to invite selected characters to the Resort Hotel. Plus, access themed furniture, fashion items and new characters by tapping selected amiibo from the Splatoon and The Legend of Zelda series!

Important notes regarding save data

- This game does not support the Save Data Cloud functionality of Nintendo Switch Online. However, a service to back-up Animal Crossing: New Horizons save data and recover it from the server in the event of console failure, loss or theft is available to Nintendo Switch Online members. For more information, please see our Support section.

- Using the System Transfer feature to move software and save data from an existing Nintendo Switch to a new Nintendo Switch 2 will transfer all Animal Crossing: New Horizons content, include save data. However, resident data must then be connected to the relevant user profile on the Nintendo Switch 2 before operating as normal. For more information, please visit our Support website.

- For more information on how to transfer save data and/or move users from one Nintendo Switch console to another, please visit our Support website.

Welcome to the Resort Hotel

Kapp’n and his family can be found running a hotel by the sea, but they need your help to bring as many tourists to the island as possible!

Get the rooms ready

Each guest room has a theme, and it’s your job to decorate them. Use recommended furniture or items from your catalog and help make each guest’s visit extra special!

Make tourists feel welcome

Guests staying at the hotel might also be seen wandering around your island. If you come across one taking in the sights, be sure to greet them!

Offer outfits for visitors to wear during their stay by dressing up the mannequins in the hotel lobby. Get creative with new looks for each season or ones that match your island’s vibe.

Using compatible amiibo (sold separately), you can even invite selected characters to come and stay at the Resort Hotel!

Deliver specialties with Kapp’n

Tom Nook needs your help shipping out island specialties! Use DIY recipes and resources to craft all kinds of items for Kapp’n to deliver to people across the seas.

Earn hotel tickets

By decorating rooms or fulfilling delivery orders, you’ll earn hotel tickets that can be redeemed for all sorts of rarities and other items from the hotel’s souvenir shop.

Slumber Islands

By sleeping in a bed and talking to Luna, you can travel to the Slumber Islands*. Here, you can create up to three new islands, totally separate from your main island!

Choose one of three sizes and four layouts per island, then create however you please. Use any furniture in your collection, shape the landscape, place island residents, and more!

Playing with friends

Get together with other players and visit each other’s Slumber Islands. Everyone can decorate using their own items and or even change the landscape as a team!

Up to 12 players can play together on one Slumber Island with Animal Crossing: New Horizons – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition*. With a compatible USB-C camera (sold separately), you and other players can see each other’s reactions in-game too**!

Resetti’s Reset Service

Now there’s a familiar face! You can now ask Resetti to lend a hand and clean up specific locations around your island. He’ll even tidy away any flowers or Custom Designs for you – thanks, Resetti!

Expand your home storage

Previously, you could keep up to 5,000 items in your home storage. But now, you can upgrade that twice more at Resident Services for a maximum of 9,000 items. You can even store flowers, shrubs and trees!

Special collaborations

New furniture and clothing items – plus some new characters – have arrived as part of special collaborations in the Ver.3.0 update!

Nintendo

From classics consoles to retro toys, items from Nintendo’s history will appear at the Resort Hotel’s Souvenir Shop as you help Kapp’n and his family out. With a Nintendo Switch Online membership, you can even play selected games on the consoles*!

LEGO® items

LEGO® furniture and fashion items, such as a sofa or bed, will be available. They come in a variety of colours, so mix and match to find combinations you like!

The Legend of Zelda

You can tap compatible amiibo from The Legend of Zelda series (sold separately) to add new furniture and clothing inspired by the series to Nook Shopping. By scanning certain amiibo figures, Tulin and Mineru will visit your island too!

Splatoon

You can tap compatible amiibo from Splatoon series (sold separately) to add new furniture and clothing inspired by the series to Nook Shopping. By scanning certain amiibo figures, Cece and Viché will visit your island too!

Turn dreams into reality

As part of Lottie’s Paradise Planning team, it’s your job to make dreams come true. Each client has their own vision for the perfect vacation home, and it’s up to you to make it happen.

Pick the island you want to build on, then design everything to create a home that’ll make the client happy. Place furniture to suit the theme, decorate both inside and out, change the season, time of day and more. The more homes you create, the more clients you’ll find are looking for your services!

Facilities are go!

The Paradise Planning island has lots of vacant buildings, all ripe for renovation. When you’re not creating vacation homes, try turning these into dream facilities! Create a restaurant, hospital, school and more, then watch as residents from across the archipelago start making use of them.

Back to your island

Furniture and design techniques gained on the archipelago can also be used on your own island, so experiment with partition walls, counters, pillars, lighting and soundscapes to create your ideal home. You can even eventually remodel the homes of your island residents!

Expand your clientele

Give souvenir chocolates bought from the Paradise Planning shop to your island residents and you’ll soon see them on the archipelago. You can also use Animal Crossing amiibo and amiibo cards (sold separately) to invite your favourite characters to be new clients of Paradise Planning!

Located at the southern edge of the island, the airport is your gateway to your island. Not only is it where new residents and visitors will arrive, but you can also take trips to far-off lands using special tickets, earned with Nook Miles.
